 ~ A Chance To Bloom ~
          ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

          Born into this world
              much to soon.
         Yet love and prayers
            are on her side...

                   ~*~

            A baby born oh so
           precious and frail.
          Fighting desperately
             for her own life...

                   ~*~

           Like a pin cushion
              there she laid.
         With needles and tubes
             to help her survive...

                     ~*~

          Oh how she's so tiny
           yet she is so brave.
         She lives her fragile life
           one day at a time...

                    ~*~

           Little arms all black
                  and blue,
        Yet she never does seem
                 to ever cry...

                      ~*~

             Tiny little feet all
               bruised up too.
           Oh the pain that she
           must endure inside...

                      ~*~

          Down to the chapel
I must now go to pray.
              Oh dear God,
        Her precious delicate life
         depends all upon You...

                    ~*~

         When suddenly I heard
         His tender whisper say.
         "Fear not for every bud
          has a chance to bloom."

Gift for Thee

I love the spring, when things do grow

no effort made, the seeds I sow

even though I sleep, they bud the same

the flowers speak, they call my name

to encourage those, who chance a view

God sends a card, of I Love You

machinery great, the details grand

to make it grow, to make it stand

thoughtfulness there, kindness too

to make a gift, just for you

I love the stars, the night time brings

no thoughts of mine, made these things

some are close, the seaman smiles

some are far, our awe inspires

a structure there, a beauty too

to encourage those, who chance a view

machinery great, the details grand

to make a sight, to encourage a man

thoughtfulness there, kindness too

to make eternity, just for you

The bar is high, these gifts He’s made

I’ll give my life, to learn the trade

my brush is small, my intent is sweet

the colors gray, but the line is neat

to paint my life, in such a way

to be a gift, day after day

He sees my work, an awful hue

and decides to add, a color or two

a structure there, a beauty too

to encourage those, who chance a view

I’ve made my choice, my resolve is true

God help me be, a gift for you.
