Complex Simplicity

You look yourself in the eyes
and wish it’d come to surface...
The mission,
the gift,
your one and only purpose.
Life’s enough troubles,
with it’s wins, loss, ups and downs;
now it seems...
the will is no where to be found.
You turn to peers
for courage and motivation,
but intense forces won’t result
from opposite moving relations.
Magazines, books, TV and video,
you’ve seen it all...
It’s getting kinda old.
But there has to be something...
Someway to figure out,
what your life is truly about.
Someone out there,
Can be inspired by your ways.
Something very near,
is meant for your discovery today.
Again and again,
you beg and you pray;
“Lord, please... Show me the way.”
A stranger approaches
and sincerely begins to say;
“How are you doing?”
But you can’t be delayed,
“I have no time, I mustn't stay.
Your words left in the cold,
as you continue through the day.
Again and again,
you beg and you pray;
“Lord, please...Show me the way.”
An old friend calls,
and wants to meet today.
You appreciate the offer, but then say;
“I have no time, I mustn’t play.”
Once again, you beg and you pray;
“Lord, please...Show me the way.”
To your surprise,
you hear a voice finally say;
“I’ve attempted twice, only to my dismay.
This is the last try, do not throw it away.
You don’t have to read between the lines
or the writing on the wall.
It’s not that complex...
It isn’t a mystery at all.
Just promise me this,
with a hear that is true;
You’ll have 100% faith
in all that you do.
Trust in me always
for a path so clear,
and call on my name
when ever there’s fear.
Do not fall
for thy ways of the EGO.
Let your spirit lead
where ever you go.
Serve this duty
and serve it well.
You too
shall see the day...
When you tell this tale.

I WANT TO BE LIKE MARY

I began to contemplate, how life would be.
If I lived in total submission, you know...
like Mary.
She heard a sacred voice,
advising to perform the command.
In Mary’s eyes, there was no choice;
so, she’d give in.
She’d travel the path, given from above.
Not out of wrath, but pure ratification and love.
You see, some people aren’t willing....
to journey a road unknown.
In spiritual reality, the venture is a precise plan...
mapped for you alone.
What Mary did, proves to you and me:
God’s will is a wonderful piece of work,
that’ll last for all eternity.
With the conclusion of this poem,
I’ll cry a small plea.
I long and wish, that Jesus be born in me.

The Moment

You’ve stepped out of your realm
of fear.
You’re so over whelmed,
the path is clear.
“I’ve waited such a long time ,”
you think.
Now the order has become divine...
Everything’s in sync.
At one point,
you didn’t think you’d be able to continue;
frustration, confusion, tribulation...
They were all on the menu.
Somehow you’ve managed to keep
your faith,
through the roaring sea
destiny awaits.
Now, here you are...
A dream come true.
It’ seemed so far
but it was right in front of you.
No worries
about what's next,
just the glories
of being blessed.
What Have You Got to Lose?

He said he’ll always be there.
What have you got to lose?
He said he’ll forever care.
What have you got to lose?
He promised to always lead the way.
What have you got to lose?
He promised to always have the last say.
What have you got to lose?
He agreed to total liberty.
What have you got to lose?
He agreed to abundance and prosperity.
What have you got to lose?
You’re down in the dark,
your life’s fallen apart.
Ya boy’s turned his back,
the kids don’t know how to act.
The rent, car note, and phone bill’s due,
you’ve just found, your mate’s been un true.
Your boss can’t quite understand,
the job’s such high demand.
Here, I offer him to you.
Tell me...
What have you got to lose?
